Ancaster

The picturesque, European village of Ancaster is one of the most quaint and charming places to call home. One of the oldest European communities in Ontario, Ancaster's initial growth was thanks to its easily-accessible water power – the need for which changed over the decades, but gave Ancaster it's early prominence and village feel. These days, Ancaster real estate serves as more of a bedroom community for residents who typically work in Hamilton, Burlington, Mississauga, or even Toronto.

Living in Ancaster, you'll find plenty of older homes in the village core, but the current growth here can be found on the east side of the Highway 403 (with suburban commercial developments like the Power Centre or residential projects like the Meadowlands).

In Ancaster, you have the historic village core, the walking trails and a variety of restaurants, pubs, and shops. This is an area that is flourishing with small businesses, as well as other local area amenities for shopping that make it perfectly charming and convenient.
